The members of FTC Team# 10358, Squatch Watch, are extremely excited to be entering their third season in the First Tech Challenge. Squatch Watch is a high school based robotics team that includes students ranging from ninth to twelfth grade. Squatch Watch is a non-profit robotics club and organization centered at Ridgeview High School. Squatch Watch was formed in 2015 after three high schools in Dickenson County, Virginia consolidated into Ridgeview High School. The area in which we live is not very familiar with STEM or FIRST; therefore, with the assistance of many new technologies available to us, we attempt to spread an enormous amount of information and explanations of FIRST and STEM to our community.
Squatch Watch, FTC Team# 10358, aspires to become distinguished ambassadors and leaders of FIRST. We hope to demonstrate and teach the values of set forth by the First Tech Challenge (FTC) in rural southwest Virginia to others within our community. We desire to allow many young students and older students alike to learn the importance of STEM education in today's world. We would like to teach members of our community that learning many new ideas and thoughts is the real reward within the First Tech Challenge.
